Hi there, I'm a brown, immigrant woman from Chile. As a Social Worker I specialized in Public Politics that includes a Children's Rights Perspective. In the past 14 years, I have worked with non-profits, city government, a Juvenal detention center, and public schools; all experiences that gave me an in-depth and critical perspective about how to work in a community/es. In my time in Chattanooga, I have worked as a Community Engagement, organizer, and invested my time as a volunteer with local organizations. From those experiences, I gained a comprehensive understanding of community dynamics specifically in our city, especially relating to disenfranchised populations. Through my work here, I have come to understand how placemaking process has an essential role in the inclusive development of the city.
